Who can play at Squarena?

Squarena is for everyone who’s ready to move, think fast, and have a blast! Our games are designed for players ages 4 and up, making them perfect for kids, teens, and adults.

• Families – Bond over fast-paced, light-up challenges.

• Friends – The ultimate group hangout or birthday celebration.

• Teams & Co-Workers – Build teamwork while having way more fun than a meeting.

You don’t need to be an athlete – just bring comfy shoes, a good attitude, and a willingness to run around and laugh a lot.

How long is a Squarena session?

Plan for about 45 minutes of fun! You’ll play two rounds (each lasting up to 18 minutes) with a quick break in between to catch your breath and hydrate before diving back in.

What games do we play?

Standard game: Our standard game packs in a variety of fast-paced levels designed to challenge your speed, coordination, and teamwork. Clear the blue, stay safe on the green, and avoid the red. Every round will keep you on your toes!

Puzzle game: Our puzzle game slows the action and amps up the brainpower. You’ll need patience, strategy, and precision to win. The goal is still to clear the blue tiles, but most levels give you just one life – so every move counts.

What should I wear to Squarena?

Dress for action! We recommend comfortable, breathable clothing you can move in and closed-toe athletic shoes (think sneakers, not sandals or heels). You’ll be running, dodging, and chasing lights, so leave the fancy outfits at home – this is all about fun and movement!

Is the game physically demanding?

You’ll be moving around, dodging, and racing to beat the clock, but you don’t need to be a professional athlete. Our games are designed for all skill levels, and you can go at your own pace.

How many people can play at once?

Each arena has a max capacity:

• Sprocket’s Arena – Up to 8 players

• Blinky’s Arena – Up to 6 players

You can book just your group or reserve both arenas for larger parties. Need to add one or two extra players? We can often make it happen – just reach out to us!

Age & Group Requirements

What’s the minimum age to play?

While we don’t have a strict age requirement to play, we recommend the experience for ages 4 and up for the best enjoyment. Younger children are welcome to play, but they may not fully understand the game.

Can adults and kids play together?

Absolutely! Our games are built for families, friends, and co-workers to enjoy together.

Booking & Pricing

How much does it cost?

We charge a flat rate of $30 per person (2-player minimum).

Is there a minimum number of players?

Yes – 2 players minimum per booking.

How far in advance can I book?

We accept bookings up to one month in advance.

Is my booking private?

Yes, all bookings are private. The arena is reserved exclusively for you and your group.

Arrival & Preperation

When should I arrive for my booking?

Please check in 5-10 minutes before your start time so we can get waivers signed and instructions started on time.

During the summer months, please anticipate increased traffic near our location during the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar horse racing season. We recommend allowing extra time for parking and arrival.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, every player must have a signed waiver before playing. Parents/guardians must sign for minors.

What should I bring with me?

Just comfy clothes, closed-toe shoes, and your game face! 

Is there somewhere to store personal items?

Yes, we have lockers to store personal items during your game.

POLICIES

What’s your cancellation policy?

While we are unable to offer cancellations or refunds, we understand that plans can change. If you let us know at least 48 hours in advance, we’ll be happy to reschedule your booking or provide store credit for a future visit. We appreciate your understanding and for helping us keep our schedule running smoothly.

What if we’re late?

Please call our front desk at 858-925-7172 and notify us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but late arrivals may result in shortened play time.

Do you host birthday parties or private events?

Yes! We offer birthday party packages that include game time, a private party room, and food and beverage options. We can also host private/team building/corporate events. Whatever the occasion, we’d love to help make your celebration extra special. Feel free to email us or inquire at the front desk during your next visit.
